Gen Bryant Visit

By Fr. James -

Over the Anzac Day weekend earlier this year, Holy Family Parish were privileged to host contemporary Christian youth musician Gen Bryant and her band, as they helped us launch our Sacramental Program and spent some time with our school children.

On the Friday 23rd of April, Gen and the gang facilitated the Year 7 MacKillop College Retreat, where the impact of her music and ministry, combined with her messages of resilience and hope, was felt right across the year level.

Gen and her band provided the music for both weekend Mass celebrations and entertained the children and their parents afterwards during the Sacramental Information session for our Year 3-5 students preparing for their First Eucharist and/or Confirmation.

Rounding off their visit, the band also played at both St Mary’s, Swan Hill and St Mary’s, Sea Lake Primary Schools giving thoroughly enjoyable and engaging performances and attracting many new fans in the process. Everyone who was fortunate enough to enjoy Gen and her band were moved and inspired by the encounter and we thank them for their visit and can’t wait to welcome them back again in the future.
